Pitfall Guide: Common Shared-Office Mistakes
❌ Pitfall 1: Applying for a Business Manager visa on an address-only plan
Immigration requirement A private office space + company signage + a place where employees actually work. A plain address registration (virtual office) is almost 100% denied. Visa applicants must choose the "private office plan."
❌ Pitfall 2: Using a shared-office address to open a "licensed-industry" business
Staffing, real estate brokerage, paid job placement, adult-entertainment businesses, etc. Licensed industries require a fixed private office; the hot-desk plan is not accepted. Please consult WBCG first for details.
⚠ Pitfall 3: Picking a cheap virtual office and getting denied a bank account
Many major banks are wary of a virtual office that is clearly "address-only." W.SHARE is an established shared-office brand with a track record across multiple banks, giving a high account-opening success rate.
⚠ Pitfall 4: Forgetting the deposit and one-time registration fee in your budget
Beyond the monthly fee, you pay at move-in:2 months' deposit (refunded on move-out) + a ¥22,000 one-time registration fee + the first month's fee. Choosing the ¥55,000/mo private office means an initial payment of about ¥200,000+.

FAQ
What's the minimum contract term? Can I rent monthly?

Minimum 3 months(6 months for a private office). For short-term needs, use the "meeting room on demand" plan, booked by the hour. A 24-month long-term contract earns a 5% discount.

My company isn't formed yet — can I rent an office first?

Yes — sign in your own name, then transfer it to the company later.WBCG is familiar with this — many clients rent an office and incorporate at the same time to save time.

Can a W.SHARE address be registered on my residence card?

What's registered on your residence card is Home address, it must be your actual residence — a shared office won't do. However, Company registration address using W.SHARE is fine. Keep the two separate:

  • Home address → your residence
  • Company registration → W.SHARE
Can you receive packages?

Generally yes. We can receive your everyday parcels and mail. However, Large freight (50kg+), refrigerated/frozen goods, and hazardous materials Advance notice is required, and some items may incur extra fees. After we receive your mail, we notify you via LINE; choose forwarding or pickup.

Can I use it on weekends and at night?

Hot-desk and private-office plans allow 24-hour access. The address-only plan is limited to reception hours, weekdays 09:00–18:00. Meeting rooms must be booked within open hours (typically 07:00–23:00).

Is there a discount when combined with WBCG's bookkeeping/tax and visa services?

Bundle discount available. Group clients enjoy:

  • 5–10% off the W.SHARE monthly fee
  • Pay together with WBCG's bookkeeping service, managed through one point of contact
  • For visa applications, W.SHARE can issue an "office-use certificate" to speed up review
